So Crewe Vagrants took two teams to the Stafford hockey and beer festival this year and despite the shocking weather, everyone had a fantastic time. We split into two teams Cruets and Crewtons. The Crewtons started well winning 3 out of 3 but couldn’t manage to get the key point that would have taken them into the semi-final. Cruets, however, won 5 out of 5 and they were soon into the semi-final. They won the semi final 1-0 in a very close game where both teams had good chances to go through…Onto the final! In what soon became quite an ugly match with some very bad challenges and some aggressive play towards the Crewe players we soon settled down by putting the ball into the back of the net. 1 soon become 2 and with that Crewe won the final 2-0. That’s twice in 3 years that Crewe have won the tournament!
